Unique Ceilings that Make the Space

Date posted: April 5, 2016

When decorating a room in your home, how often do you consider the ceiling? It’s not usually the first thing people – or even decorators – think of. More commonly, you’ll think about the walls, the floors, and the furniture.

But from now on, think of the ceiling as the new accent wall. It’s just one more place to add a little sparkle, personality, and style.

Here are five unique ceilings and why each one works so well:

Upscale Master Suite Interior

This tray ceiling makes the seating area in this master one-of-a-kind. It adds physical height and stylistic depth. The lighting around the edge makes it a nice focal point, but it’s also subtle. It adds to the room without taking away from anything else.

Living room

This unique design gives an otherwise plain room some added personality. And that ceiling paired with the light fixture is stunning. Paired with that uniquely-shaped couch, this room is unique, and it’s all because of the ceiling. That’s the star of the show. The rest are just details that add to it.

Master bath with celing design

This bathroom is reminiscent of an ancient roman bathhouse. It’s almost like it has some old-world elegance, but the ceilings make this bathroom unique. They look a bit like skylights, and it turns this space into a relaxing haven.

Family room with wood ceiling beams

What’s not to love about wood beams? They work well with any style, from rustic to even modern. That dark wood is gorgeous, and it sets the tone for the rest of the space. It’s a classic look with a modern feel.

Classic wide corridor with marble floor and carpet

This grand entryway becomes even more grand with that ceiling. It’s a bit whimsical, and it makes me want to lay underneath and stare up at it…for hours.
